Hello everybody, and welcome back to The CW Torch! It's been a while since we've been in Chynna's Kitchen, and this post will be featuring my friend Madeleine Salem!

Last weekend, I stayed at my friend's house, where we made some delicious Brie Grilled Cheeses. I found a recipe on Pinterest, because I was in the mood to cook with some friends, instead of going out to a restaurant or ordering takeout! This Grilled Cheese was extremely creative and turned out to be absolutely delicious. It had a lot of things my friend and I both liked; Bacon, Brie Cheese, Apricot Preserves (or Jam), and a Balsamic drizzle. For the full recipe, you can click the link down below.

The flavors all worked really well together; you had the sweet from the Apricot Preserves, the salty from the bacon, creaminess from the Brie, and the tartness from the Balsamic. We used a good Sourdough Bread from Sprouts grocery store, which added the perfect crunch factor, and paired with a bottle of Pinot Grigio. The ingredients used, definitely called for a nice and crisp white wine! This was one of the fancier grilled cheeses I ever made, but it didn't break the bank, as it might've at a restaurant. We got most of the ingredients from Sprouts grocery store, and Madeleine's pantry. But, you can get any of these ingredients at your nearby grocery store, such as Trader Joe's.

Here are some pics of our delicious Brie and Bacon Grilled Cheese, which I will definitely be making again in the future!

1) Spread some Apricot Preserves (or Jam) to both sides of bread.

2) Slice up some brie cheese, and put on one side of the bread.

3) Add some cooked Bacon on top of the brie, you can either use regular Pork Bacon or Turkey Bacon! We used Turkey Bacon, to make it a little bit healthier.

4) Heat both sides of sandwich in buttered pan

5) Drizzle some Balsamic Syrup (instructions on how to make in recipe link) on top!

If you choose to cook this, which I really think you should. I hope it turns out as delicious as it did when Madeleine and I, made it! Hope you enjoyed this episode of Chynna's Kitchen: featuring Madeleine Salem. See you soon!

TTFN,

Chynna W.
