Hello everybody and welcome to another review!

Today, I will review and analyze Enhypen’s special album, Memorabilia. Enhypen has a WEBTOON called Dark Moon for those who may not know. The WEBTOON follows their Vampire characters throughout many different periods of their lives. Enhypen has produced two songs “Criminal Love” and “One in a Billion” as OST’s (original soundtracks) for their WEBTOON and this time they have released an entire album. The album Memorabilia includes four new tracks; the title track, “Fatal Trouble,” two unit songs, “Teeth” and “Lucifer,” and lastly “Scream.” The album also features already released OST’s, “Criminal Love” and “One In a Billion.” Let’s dive into the review!

“One In a Billion” was the first song released as an OST for their WEBTOON. It’s a fun and edgy rock song that is best heard live, whether for a comeback stage or a concert. The vocals from the members are punchy and can’t be missed by Heeseung’s long and drawn-out note at the end of the song. It isn’t a song I typically go back to and not one of my favorite songs by this group but it does have an ANIME feel to it, which goes perfectly with the vibes of the WEBTOON.

“Criminal Love,” the second OST released for their WEBTOON, is the opposite of “One in a Billion.” This song is more up my alley regarding genre because it has a sexier complexity. It leans more towards an R&B style which is the style of K-Pop I typically gravitate to. The choreography is phenomenal for this sexy track and is another amazing song to see live. In fact, “Criminal Love” might be one of my all-time favorite songs by Enhypen.

“Fatal Trouble,” the title track of this album is a pop-rock anthem with an intense riff guitar sound. It is reminiscent of the pop-punk genre of the early 2000s. It gives me the feel of Kelly Clarkson’s album, My December, and Evanescence’s, “Bring Me To Life.” It’s a dark and tragic song with a punk/rock-heavy chorus. The song feels short and a little repetitive which is its only downfall. All members contribute standout vocals, with the song featuring predominantly falsetto to convey the yearning of the lyrics. The choreography is even more beautiful than the track itself. I enjoyed this song because it brought me back to a period of music I used to love.

“Teeth,” is the first unit song off the album sung by; Heeseung, Jungwon, Sunoo, and Ni-Ki. This song is also the first true unit song we’ve received from Enhypen. "Teeth" is an upbeat rave track that reminded me of the type of song you would hear on an episode of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." It has a bit of a 90s club feel to it with a rapidly changing production in the background. There was so much going on in the production that it was a bit hard to digest but it was fun nonetheless. The lyrics are reminiscent of “Sweet Venom” as it talks heavily about the addiction of this bite the Vampire boys have. It discusses how it feels to be bitten and the song’s production matches that feeling. For instance, there is a portion where the song slows down along with Ni-Ki and Sunoo’s distorted voices which was a cool part of the song that did drag on a bit. “Teeth” also reminded me of the classic part of a Vampire show when the Vampire and their potential lover meet for the first time. It was a cool song but I don’t think it was my favorite of the album.

“Lucifer,” the second unit song sung by Sunghoon, Jake, and Jay aka my bias line. “Lucifer” was probably my favorite song off the album as it’s right up my alley. I loved "Lucifer" because of its sexy R&B vibe. The vocals have an ethereal quality that is simultaneously haunting, giving the sense of being haunted by, Lucifer. The opening of the song gives the impression of a falling sensation, reminiscent of Lucifer's descent as a fallen angel. The seductive and sensual nature of this song perfectly aligns with Enhypen’s vampire persona. I consider "Lucifer" one of my all-time favorite songs due to the vocal growth showcased by these three members.

The final song on this album, titled "Scream," offers a lively ending with a pop vibe. It feels like a tune that could be playing during the end credits of a Supernatural movie. It has a slightly more relaxed vibe compared to the other tracks on the album. This song would be fun to hear at the end of an Enhypen concert and has similar vibes to “Shout Out” or “Karma” by Enhypen. The vocals are the highlight of this song, especially since the production is more straightforward. It was a fun conclusion to what is a very dark album.

There you have it folks, my review of Enhypen’s, Memorabilia, album. I think this was a stand-out album from Enhypen. It was cool to get an entire album for their WEBTOON and the album itself is a cool piece of Memorabilia to own. I am thrilled that we received these unit songs and that "Criminal Love" and "One In A Billion" made it onto an album. I am excited for Enhypen's upcoming comeback in July, as they continue to progress with each album. This next comeback is expected to be separate from their WEBTOON and I am eager to see their continuous growth. I hope you enjoyed this review and enjoy listening to the album!
