Hello everyone and welcome back! It’s time for another comeback review for one of my favorite K-Pop bands, Tomorrow x Together.

On April 1st, 2024, Tomorrow x Together released their 3rd Minisode album, Minisode 3: Tomorrow. Usually, Tomorrow x Together releases a minisode album after finishing a series of albums, and this one could be their greatest so far. I may be biased since I adore all of their music, but what impresses me most is their ability to experiment with new genres. Exploring different genres showcases their diversity and capability to succeed in various styles, instead of suggesting a lack of comprehension of one's sound. Despite experimenting with genres, the distinctive TxT sound shines through in their lyrics and melodies, especially evident in their title track, "Deja Vu."
“Deja Vu” Title Track and Music Video Review
Among TxT's title tracks, "Deja Vu" stands out for its softer tone, blending elements of hip-hop and trap beats. The lyrics allude to previous songs and revolve around the idea of Deja Vu, a sensation of familiarity as if something has been experienced before. This title track was beautiful and a departure from TxT's usual style. Although they have incorporated hip-hop elements into their music before, they’ve never done a true hip-hop track, at least not that I can remember. Nevertheless, the aspect of this song I appreciated the most was its gentle tone and subtle infusion of R&B elements. Once "Deja Vu" begins, I can't help but immediately nod my head to the rhythmic trap beats. TxT is skilled at creating catchy melodies for melancholy songs which is evident in the emotive lyrics.

The music video for “Deja Vu” is as beautiful as the song, heavy with emotion and storyline. Its plot focuses on Yeonjun’s character who has lost somebody, a possible lover or even a friend. The sad lyrics complement the ambiance of the music video, which is characterized by a color palette of black, white, and gray with subtle hints of blue tones. The music video features impressive special effects, including stop-motion, which is challenging to execute but ultimately creates a stunning result. The music video evokes feelings of loss and sadness while also hinting at the possibility of TxT reuniting. Throughout the entire music video, Beomgyu appears as a golden entity. He reunites with his friend Yeonjun at the climax of the song. In the final scene of the music video, the boys come together on a seemingly enchanting island and the vibrant colors magically reappear.
While this may be the primary storyline, the underlying theme diverges. At the beginning of the music video, we are introduced to a Fox, appearing in previous TxT lyrics and music videos. I interpret this Fox as symbolizing youth and when the Fox vanishes, it signifies that Yeonjun's character has lost his youth. The scene shifts to Yeonjun sprinting through a deserted landscape, where towering creatures loom in the background, symbolizing the essence of youth. This indicates that he is attempting to reclaim the lost youth of his past, with Beomgyu also symbolizing their shared youth. When they finally reunite, they rediscover the innocence and joy of their youth that they left behind on Magic Island.
Album Review

Minisode 3: Tomorrow showcases how TxT is capable of conquering a variety of different genres. Despite being a small group of five members, their unique voices stand out individually and harmonize seamlessly across various music styles. This mini album only features six songs, but each one highlights TxT's exceptional talent and versatility as a K-pop group. Despite only being together for 5 years, their distinctive style and meaningful lyrics make them stand out in the K-pop industry.
“I’ll See You There Tomorrow”
The opening track is a lively, funky house tune featuring mellow vocals and high-energy beats. Although "Deja Vu" had a more emotional vibe, "I'll See You There Tomorrow" was the lively party track of the album. This song exudes an upbeat energy and makes it ideal for a live performance.
“Miracle”
TxT expresses their dedication to their members and fans through their songs and "Miracle" serves as the heartfelt thank-you song to the fans for this album. The song features an upbeat pop-rock tune with electronic-synth elements and energetic drums. It’s the type of song that makes you want to jump up and down towards the end of a concert.

“The Killa (I Belong to You)”
“The Killa (I Belong to You)” is a track showcasing a unit performance by Soobin and Yeonjun. The song stands out from the other energetic heavy rock and hip-hop ballads with its vibey tone. The afro-beats complement Yeonjun's powerful rap and Soobin's gentle vocals perfectly. This song is the sister song of “Tinnitus (Wanna be a rock) off their “Name Chapter: Temptation” album.
“Quarter-Life Crisis”
“Quarter Life Crisis” is another song that would work perfectly as the closing number of a concert. Reminiscent of early 2000s punk rock, this song fits TxT's sound perfectly. This track serves as the ideal conclusion to the mini-album, highlighting the challenges faced by TxT as young adults in their early to mid-20s.

Song Rankings
1. “I’ll See You There Tomorrow” and “Deja Vu” tied for first.
2. “Quarter Life Crisis”
3. “The Killa (I Belong to You).”
4. “Miracle”
I hope you enjoyed this review of TxT’s Minisode 3: Tomorrow, I have been playing this album non-stop since its release as TxT always delivers. I love TxT, as they are one of my top K-pop groups, following right behind BTS. It’s been remarkable to witness their progress as a band over 5 years, venturing into various genres and continuously pushing the limits as artists.
I'm excited to announce that I'll be attending their Promise Tour in May and I can't wait to see them for a second time.
